Cannongburgh wishes everyone a happy and safe Halloween. Watch out for the wee ghosties out there. And as employee Nick Turner, a member of the Cannonburgh Moving & Storage crew found out, working as a mover can can also leave you needing to watch out for the big ghosties too.
Nick’s co-workers showed their love for him this year by playing a Halloween trick, Cannonburgh Moving style. They packed Nick’s truck … literally. This baby is packaged with care and all ready for shipping. We’re sure Nick had a great time unwrapping his vehicle.
Don’t let your next move be a ‘Trick’ you play on yourself. ‘Treat’ yourself to a hassle free move. Call Cannonburgh Moving & Storage for a quote on your next move.

It’s football time in Middle Tennessee, and that means it’s time to root for the royal blue. Cannonburgh Moving & Storage will be co-sponsoring a tailgate networking event with the Better Business Bureau at the MTSU home opener versus Georgia Tech on September 10th, 2011.
The tailgate party itself is a networking event for the benefit of accredited BBB members of Bedford, Cannon, Coffee, Rutherford and Warren counties. It is an annual event and Cannonburgh Moving and Storage is proud to help sponsor it this year. Cannonburgh Moving & Storage has been an accredited member since September of 2000 and keeps an A+ rating. We are very happy to have been approached by the Better business Bureau about this opportunity.
While the tailgate food and drink is solely for the accredited BBB member companies, don’t let that stop you from dropping by to say hi! Stop by and ask for Cannonburgh Moving & Storage and get a discount on your upcoming moving job while you’re at it. We will be near the tennis courts.
Go Blue Raiders, Go!
Cannonburgh Moving & Storage of Murfreesboro, TN operates under the notion that companies should keep their environmental impact low. Call it green thinking if you will, but it just makes good sense. At the end of a long day of moving clients, their lives and their businesses from one place to another, the folks who work for Cannonburgh Moving & Storage still live in the same community they work in.
For a moving and storage company, opportunities for recycling are a more common than you might think. Of course a moving company is necessarily going to operate large trucks which generate a lot of used oil. In 2011 Cannonburgh Moving & Storage is on pace to recycle 150 gallons of used motor oil.
Another such opportunity comes in the form of used moving boxes, packing paper and other papers. This year, Cannonburgh Moving & Storage is recycling 20 tons of paper and cardboard and 2,500 lbs of plastics. This recycling is all handled through the MTSU Recycling Program. Beyond the positive effects that this recycling has on our environment, the funds generated through the MTSU program supports the program and generates revenue for scholarships. In addition, some of the boxes that Cannonburgh Moving & Storage takes in are in good shape and are given away for reuse.
Metals are another valuable commodity that Cannonburgh Moving & Storage recycles through Mid-Tenn Metal Exchange. This year, due to Cannonburgh’s recycling efforts, 8000 lbs of various aluminum, steel, copper, lead and batteries will not find their way into land fills.
Cannonburgh Moving and Storage is proud to serve the moving and storage needs of Tennesseans, and is also proud to do it’s part to help keep Tennessee green.
